E-paper in motion
According to this Reuters story (via CNN.com), scientists at Philips in the Netherlands are perfecting technology that may soon be able to display moving images on a flexible paper-like screen. This new kind of e-paper is supposed to be four times brighter than today’s reflective LCD displays.
Once it’s durable, reliable and affordable, e-paper is sure to make a huge impact on the way we deliver news content online. I’m trying to persuade my friend Paul at the European Journalism Centre in Maastricht to get on the train to Eindhoven and see what these Philips folks are up to.
