Down with portals

News websites should aim to “build a network, not a destination,” inserting themselves “into the clickstream” whenever possible. Amen, Rich Gordon!

Changes to this site

2008.08.02: Regular readers (an oxymoron, since I haven't posted often enough to merit regular reading) will notice that the site looks different. I'm redesigning, and it's a work in progress. I intend to start posting with greater frequency soon. Meanwhile, let me know what you think of the new look.
