I was visiting the Stanford University bookstore yesterday with my friend Kristina when we made a fun discovery: I am quoted in a book about online journalism.
Since we are both news geeks, we were browsing in the journalism section. Kristina picked up this book, Journalism and New Media by Columbia University prof John Pavlik. I told her I had met the author back in college and he had interviewed me for a paper he was doing on new media. I wouldn’t have even thought to look, because that was years ago, and so much has changed since then, but Kristina turned straight to the index and found my name there.
My quote, it turned out, was uninspired and uninspiring, but, hey, now it’ll be preserved for all time in the Library of Congress.
